Stand Up Norge joins All Things Live

Stand Up Norge, the leading provider of comedy in Norway, joins entertainment group All Things Live. Latter continues unchanged, and All Things Live aims to export the Norwegian stand up success to the other Nordic countries. The agreement strengthens All Things Live’s market position in Norway underlines the group’s position as the leading independent entertainment group in the Nordics.

– We have achieved a lot in Norway, and we now turn to the Nordics to delight our neighbours as well. We look forward to working with our colleagues in All Things Live aiming to attract even more international stand up stars to Norway, says Elina Krantz.

Krantz founded Stand Up Norge in 1997 and the leading venue for comedy performances in Norway, Latter, in 2004. The full-suite entertainment company operates across most parts of the live entertainment value chain, has 17 permanent and 50 affiliated comedians, and will perform close to 1,900 performances this year with an expected turnover of around NOK 200 million.

All Things Live was established last year and has swiftly become the Nordic region’s leading independent player in live entertainment. The group is supported by Waterland Private Equity and has acquired concert organizer Atomic Soul and Friction in Norway as well as five other leading companies in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The network now has 85 employees, represents over 150 artists and produces more than 3,000 events annually.

Elina Krantz sells Stand Up Norge and becomes a partner and co-owner of All Things Live.

– Our operations will continue as before under the well-known Latter brand. Employees, comedians, partners and the audience are not affected apart from comedians and copywriters being offered opportunities on new stages and the audience benefiting from a broader range of artists performing with us, explains Elina Krantz.

– Stand Up Norge is a well-run company with many talented comedians and great prospects in Norway and beyond. We look forward to strengthening our position in Norway and introducing talents, texts and experiences from Norway in the other Nordic countries, says Kim Worsøe, CEO of All Things Live Group.

The parties agree not to disclose the financial details of the transaction, which is subject to competition authorities’ approval.
